Carlos Tevez led Juventus to a hard-fought win over Malmo in their Champions League Group A opener.

The Bianconeri were sluggish and struggled to create any meaningful chances in the first half, despite having the lions share of possession.

After the break though, Tevez broke the deadlock just before the hour after he latched onto an beautiful Kwadwo Asamoah back heel, following a one-two between the pair.

The Argentinian then put the icing on the cake with a spectacular freekick in time added on. His first goals in the Champions League since 2009.

Elsewhere in Group A, Olimpiacos defeated last years’ losing finalists Atletico Madrid 3-2.
