Inter star Mateo Kovacic has praised the work-rate of teammate Gary Medel after the Beneamata’s 1-1 draw at Palermo on Sunday evening.
The Nerazzurri battled away for a hard-earned point at the Renzo Barbera, in which Kovacic continued his good early season form by netting the equalizer just before half time.
“In the first half it was a tough game, but I’m happy with the goal,” Kovacic told Sky Sport Italia.
“My growth? I’ve been training a lot, even when I did not play last year. I’m better in the defensive phase, at shooting and I can still improve a lot because I’m young.
“With Medel we are not afraid of losing the ball. He’s a great bit of business by the club and now I don’t have to run as much as before.”
