Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin could be set for a shock loan move to European champions Real Madrid as the Nerazzurri are looking to offload the Colombian to then move for Atalanta attacker Giacomo Bonaventura.

The South American has been linked with a move away from Nerazzurri since January when a proposed exchange with then Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic collapsed and has since been linked to a number of clubs over the summer.

Sky Sport Italia report that Real are extremely interested in the 28-year-old and are looking to offer €3 million for an initial loan with Carlo Ancelotti having personally given his approval to the deal.

Despite their willingness to let the former Porto man leave Guarin played a fundamental role in the fifth place finish of Walter Mazzarri’s side making 32 Serie A appearances and scoring four times.
