Sassuolo will travel to the San Siro on Sunday afternoon to take on Inter, with both sides looking to pick up their first three points of the 2014-2015 Serie A season.

In last season’s fixtures Inter embarrassed Serie A new comers Sassuolo with a 7-0 thrashing in their first match up. Although their second encounter in February was a much closer affair with Walter Samuel scoring the loan goal in a 1-0 victory for the Nerazzurri .

The Neroverdi are coming off the back of a 1-1 draw against Cagliari in their opening Serie A match, with striker Simone Zaza on target in what was a dominating performance, and will be hoping to go one better at the Stadio Meazza. Meanwhile, Zaza himself is in the midst of a career making week after starring for Italy during the international break.

A starring role and Azzurri debut was given to the 23-year-old in a friendly against the Netherlands just over a week ago, which was then followed by an impressive performance during the Italy’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Norway, in which the former Ascolli frontman also picked up a goal. His mother then forced him to shave his beard with threats to stop supporting him.

Inter started their Serie A campaign in indifferent fashion with a 0-0 draw away to Torino, and could have found themselves coming of the back of defeat if Marcelo Larrondo converted a first half penalty.

Both Walter Mazzarri and Eusebio Di Francesco will likely set up their sides similar to that of their Serie A openers. However Mazzarri will likely look to Hugo Campagnaro to fill in for defense, as the Nerazzurri will be without their big summer signing Nemnja Vidic. The Serbian defender will be unable to play this Sunday, serving a one match suspension after picking up a red card during the last minute of the match against Torino.
