AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi believes his side fully deserved their 5-4 victory over Parma on Sunday evening.

The two sides played out an exhilarating nine goal thriller which saw two players sent off, and an own goal among the action.

Speaking to Mediaset after the match, Inzaghi praised the spirit of his players.

“As a match it was always open, it would have been a shame to not win that match,” he stated.

“The players have fantastic spirit, but we must improve our management of games.

“Milan have an enormous heart, the fans should be proud of that victory.

“We deserved that result, that is beyond doubt.”

The man affectionately known as Pippo went on to reveal his satisfaction with the recent performances of new signing Jeremy Menez and spoke on the clubs attacking players.

“Menez is doing very well.

“Hopefully Torres will be fit again soon. I want to be spoiled for choice in attack.”

Inzaghi concluded by ruling out the chances of a title challenge this season, but admitted his side were looking to cause an upset against Juventus next weekend.

“It is unrealistic to expect to be at the level of the Italian champions, but we were certainly compete.

“We are in a phase of construction.

“When we play at the San Siro we will look to bridge the technical gap with other qualities.”

The win at Parma sees the Rossoneri with maximum points from their opening two games, the same tally as upcoming opponents Juve.
