AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi has revealed that he is pleased with the progress shown by Keisuke Honda and believes the midfielder sets a good example for his team-mates.

The 28-year-old had struggled in the months following his arrival at the Rossoneri back in January but the tactician admits that he has greatly improved over the summer and always shows the proper amount of enthusiasm in training.

Inzaghi spoke to reporters on Saturday about Honda’s determination and confirmed that the Japanese international may appear for AC Milan in their match against Parma on Sunday.

“He hadn’t been able to train properly last season, while this season he has been doing it well and you can see all the good it’s been doing,” said the 41-year-old.

“He’s an exemplary player, always the first to arrive at practice and I think that he even trains at home. He has recovered from the trip to Japan during international break, so I think he will be on the field against Parma tomorrow.”
