Hellas Verona’s match-winner Artur Ionita has expressed his delight with his goal against Torino.

Ionita became the first Moldovan to score in Serie A as he scored the only goal of the game at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening to secure three points for the Mastini.

He spoke to Sky Sport after the match, admitting his pleasure as he helped his side remain unbeaten and up to third in Serie A.

“I’m very happy for the goal and for the victory,” he enthused. “We have won three important points, and I am very happy.”

“I need time to learn,” the former Aarau midfielder conceded, “but I have the patience. I waited for my moment.”

“I just think about working hard,” he concluded, “and getting better.”

Having joined Hellas Verona in the summer as a free transfer, Ionita has featured in two of the Gialloblu’s three matches this season, both times being introduced as a substitute.
