Italy World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro has hailed AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi’s influence on the Rossoneri after their strong start to the campaign.

The former FIFA World Player of the Year is currently an assistant coach at Al Ahli in Dubai and is impressed with the manner in which the Diavolo have quickly turned over the squad and reinvigorated the club.

“AC Milan and Pippo deserve a lot of credit as they worked together and let a lot of players like Balotelli, Kaka and Robinho go and acquired players who want to do well,” the former Juventus great said in an interview with Radio Deejay.

The presence of Cannavaro in Italy is always accompanied by talk of a potential return and the World Cup champion admitted he is intrigued by the prospect of taking over the reigns of a club.

“Coaching in Italy? I don’t know but I do want to coach.”

Rumours have linked Cannavaro as a replacement for Roberto Donadoni, particularly with the Gialloblu struggling to start the Serie A campaign.

“Parma already has a great coach,” Cannavaro quipped, seemingly bringing an end to speculation.
