Roma forward Juan Iturbe has revealed that he’s very happy with the capital city club’s crushing Champions League win over CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.

The Giallorossi dominated the Russian side in a 5-1 victory at the Stadio Olimpico with the 21-year-old scoring the Serie A team’s first goal just six minutes into the match and he admits that he was pleased to help secure a positive result in front of the home fans.

Iturbe wrote on his official Twitter page on Thursday to express his satisfaction with Roma’s performance as well as his own despite being subbed off midway through the first half after picking up a knock.

“Great win yesterday in our Champions League debut in front our fans,” wrote the Argentine.

“I’m very happy for my goal and for the victory! Forza Roma!”

The Lupi will be playing their next Champions League group stage match against Manchester City in England on September 30.
