Serie A newcomers Empoli are preparing a move for out of favour Juventus defender Marco Motta.

The 28-year-old joined Juventus in 2010 but has spent most of his time since out on loan at various clubs.

Tuttomercatoweb.com reported on the deal, and Empoli now look set to sign the Italian international.

Motta, who made 13 appearances in Serie A during his loan stint at Genoa last season, looks as if he is to put an end to his indifferent Juventus career.

The fullback has played for his fair share of Serie A clubs during his career, including Atalanta, Udinese, Torino, Roma, Juventus, Catania, Bologna and Genoa.
