Despite allowing Simone Zaza to move to Sassuolo over the summer, Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta acknowledges that the Bianconeri retain certain rights with the player.

The 23 year old has started the season in red hot form for the Neroverde, winning him a call-up to the Italy squad, for whom he scored against Norway.

Marotta revealed to Stadio Sprint that although Sassuolo have purchased Zaza outright, he is still very much on Juventus’ radar.

“We have taken this opportunity with Sassuolo,” Marotta explained, “who are a firm friend with whom we work, and if the player is placed on the market, we have a moral right of option and would be the first to be allowed to bid.”

“Do I think one day we will see him at Juventus?” he continued. “Definitely, because I’ve already said more than once that Zaza will become a champions.”

Zaza is embarking on his second season with Sassuolo, having scored nine goals in 34 games last season.
