Juventus targeting move for Barcelona fullback

Juventus have been linked with a move for Barcelona fullback Dani Alves but they will face competition in securing the Brazilian international.

The 31-year-old’s contract with Barcelona expires next summer and as a result he has become the target of several of Europe’s top clubs.

According to Talk Sport, both Juventus and Manchester United are in direct competition to add Alves to their respective squad’s come next summer.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has identified the Brazilian as a welcome addition as he looks to rebuild the Red Devils, while the Bianconeri see Alves as a replacement for Stephan Lichtsteiner should he move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Alves featured for Brazil in the 2014 World Cup, starting every match ewith the exception of the quarter and semi-finals.
