Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal looks set for a period on the sidelines after he picked up a thigh problem while on international duty with Chile.

He had recovered from injury worries to take the field for La Roja, proclaiming his fitness, but has now joined Andrea Pirlo, Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli on the Bianconeri treatment table.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that he is set for further tests on the problem tomorrow but that he will definitely miss this weekend’s clash with Udinese as a result.

However, Tuttosport are less optimistic and suggest that “a muscular problem in the posterior ligament of the right thigh” is set to keep him out for up to three weeks and that he will definitely miss the Old Lady’s Champions League game with Malmo and league games against Udinese and AC Milan.

The estimated time of recovery before his extended tests is 20-30 days.
