Roma midfielder Seydou Keita believes that the Giallorossi have a great coach in Rudi Garcia, likening him to his former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.
Thirty-four-year-old Keita has brought the same work rate and intensity which made him a hit at the Camp Nou to Rome, the Mali international made 119 appearances for Barcelona between 2008-2012.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Keita said, ” Guardiola spoke well of me because he has always recognized my work for the team.
“Garcia is similar. He also likes the team to play well, having possession and managing the game. They have the same belief: the results are centered through the way the game is played.”
Garcia is set to make changes as Roma return to Champions League action this week, Danielle De Rossi is suspended for the visit of CSKA Moscow, while the likes of Vasilis Torosidis, Keita, Juan Iturbe, Gervinho and of course captain Francesco Totti could return to the starting eleven.
