Fiorentina match-winner Jasmin Kurtic expressed his delight at the Viola’s first win of the season over Atalanta, dedicating his goal to his family and a teammate.

The 25-year-old was introduced as a second-half substitute, and fired home the match-winning goal just two minutes later to give the away side the 1-0 victory.

“I’m happy for the team’s performance and victory. We sacrificed all and I’m really happy,” the Slovenian told the microphones of Sky Sport Italia.

“It is important to bring home the three points, it does not matter if the team plays well or not. I dedicate the goal to my family and my friend, [Josip] Ilicic.”

Kurtic’s 20-yard strike was also his side’s first league goal of the season.
