Lazio are struggling with defensive problems but their main concern remain the condition of goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.
The Biancoceleste have already lost Romanian defender Stefan Radu for three weeks due to a muscle injury but of utmost concern are the problems plaguing Marchetti.
The Corriere della Sera suggests that Marchetti has already fully recovered from his physical injuries, but is suffering from a mental block and fear of getting hurt while diving, which is preventing him from taking the field.
It is serious enough that coach Stefano Pioli is likely to continue with Albanian youngster Etrit Berisha for the time being.
The situation may get worse as Berisha is himself under investigation after allegations emerged that he signed a contract with Chievo before landing in the capital.
As for Radu, Lazio believes that the situation is not as urgent as the team has plenty of cover with either Dutch defender Edson Braafheid or Frenchman Abdoulay Konko taking Radu’s place.
