Balde Diao Keita LazioLazio’s young star Balde Keita may be pulling on the Italian national team jersey in the future, if reports are to be believed.

The 19 year old ex-Barcelona man was born in Spain, and his parents are from Senegal, but the talented forward may be wearing the Azzurri jersey in the future.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Keita is still waiting on his Spanish to arrive, and the striker is becoming impatient, and is considering switching allegiance to Senegal after being given false promises by the Spanish authorities. Though suggest he could also choose Italy in the future.

To become an Italian citizen, Keita would have to wait until March 2018 to apply, as you have to live in the country for five years before you are eligible.

A quicker way to gain Italian citizenship would be to get married, and Keita would only have to wait two more years.

The Lazio striker may feel that he has a better chance of getting into the Azzurri squad, with young talents such as Alvaro Morata, Munir El Haddadi and Jese all considered future stars of La Roja.
