Leeds United are still keen on bringing Sassuolo striker Leonardo Pavoletti to England.

The Championship side, now owned by Massimo Cellino, have already signed seven Italian players during the summer transfer window, including Tommaso Bianchi from Sassuolo.

Tuttomercatoweb.com has revealed that the Whites remain keen to sign Pavoletti, who scored 22 goals for Varese in Serie B last season.

However, it is though that the Sassuolo man himself is not keen on the deal, with Leeds not being Pavoletti’s preferred option.

Leeds currently sit 18th in the Championship after five games and Cellino recently sacked coach David Hockaday after his side’s poor start to the season.

Pavoletti has played the bulk of his football at Serie B level, making a total of 69 appearances for Sassuolo and Varese and scoring 31 goals as well as adding scoring four for the Biancorosso to help them secure their Serie B status in the playoffs last season.
