Manchester City’s John Guidetti has been linked with a move to Fiorentina and Palermo as the Premier League champions look to get rid of a player who manager Manuel Pellegrini acknowledges is not in their plans.

The 22-year-old Swede scored 20 goals in 23 appearances for Feyenoord during the 2011-12 Eredivisie season, but has struggled since with injury and illness and a loan spell with Stoke City in 2014 resulted in just six substitute appearances .

Fiorentina have been interested in Guidetti for some time but TuttoMercatoWeb.com have reported that City have offered the player to both La Viola and Palermo as they look to get him off their books.

The Tuscan side have already been in contract with the Citizens as they appear set to sign Micah Richards on loan.

The player had also been linked with a move to Hannover 96 and Ajax but it seems that a deadline day move to Italy looks possible for the man with an Italian grandfather.

Guidetti has one senior cap for Sweden and is looking for regular first-team football after struggling to make an impact after the end of his loan deal at Feyenoord.
