Manchester United will reportedly be ready to make a bid for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman during the January transfer window.

The Red Devils have had the 24-year-old on their radar for quite some time now and it seems former Netherlands national team coach Louis van Gaal is remaining focused on bringing the Dutch talent to Old Trafford once his injury is healed up this winter.

According to The Sun, Manchester United are preparing a considerable offer worth around €58 million in hopes of luring the midfielder away from Roma.

Strootman, who arrived at the capital city club from PSV Eindhoven in a deal worth €17 million in July 2013, is still nursing a knee injury he picked up back in March, but is expected to be fully healed before the start of 2015.

The Dutchman was able to score five goals and provide six assists in his 25 Serie A appearances for the Giallorossi last term.
