Hellas Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini says new striker Javier Saviola is fully prepared for the season ahead and is a player that was born ready.

The 32-yea-old Argentine joined the Gialloblu from Greek side Olympiacos in a surprise move in the summer and will be looking to form a partnership with Italian striker Luca Toni.

“Saviola is ready, he is a player that was born ready,” Mandorlini told reporters at the pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s game against Torino.

“As I always said, Luca Toni is also the prove of this, he is always ready and Saviola will prove this in the future.

“I hope Javier can play Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday and I want to make sure the conditions are right for him.”

Saviola has spend time at some of Europe’s top clubs since his move from River Plate to Barcelona in 2001,  having had spells at Real Madrid, Monaco, Sevilla, Benfica Malaga and Olympiacos before joining the Serie A outfit in July.
