Match for PeacePlaying in the Match for Peace, arranged by Pope Francesco, Diego Maradona set up Roberto Baggio to score the goal of the game.

The match played in Rome on Monday evening, featured players of all religions and ended 6-3 in front of a crowd of 20,000.

New Giallorossi hero Juan Iturbe scored a hat-trick in the match, which saw the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero and Andrey Shevchenko take to the field.

However, Maradona himself admitted in an on-field interview afterwards there was one striker he missed during the match.

“Here tonight there are so many number tens who could entertain people;” the Napoli legend conceded. “Baggio, Del Piero, myself, but one is missing – who is called Francesco Totti.”

Pope Francesco himself could not attend the game, instead watching the spectacle that was organised to raise money for children in his home town of Buenos Aires by video link.

Maradona, himself born in Buenos Aires, was the biggest draw of the game, and in setting up Roberto Baggio, both showed impressive skills a long time after their retirement.
