Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic believes that his team’s draw with Sassuolo on Sunday was a fair result and is satisfied with the point earned.
The Bluecerchiati and their Neroverdi hosts were able to hold each other at bay throughout the match with both teams failing to put the ball into the back of the net for a goalless draw and the 45-year-old admits that he was expecting the Genoese club to face some difficulty against the home side.
Mihajlovic spoke to Rai Due after Sampdoria’s draw with Sassuolo about his squad’s inability to find enough space to create the proper chances and shared his thoughts on the result.
“It was a tough game, just as we had thought it would be,” said the tactician. “Sassuolo were just coming off of a heavy defeat so we knew that they would do anything possible to avoid losing this game.
“We didn’t manage to find the right spaces on the pitch and I can say that the balanced result of a draw is the right one.”
