Joseph_Minala_04Bari midfielder Joseph Minala has revealed that he would consider playing for Italy’s national team in the future if he were able to obtain Italian citizenship.

The 18-year-old admitted that his main dream is to represent his home country of Cameroon, but wouldn’t rule out the possibility of appearing for the Azzurri if he was given the chance.

Minala spoke to the press about a future with Italy and also commented on his love for football in Brazil.

“It’s my dream to play for Cameroon, my country, but if one day I am able to gain Italian citizenship then I could also think of playing for Italy,” said the youngster, who joined Serie B side Bari on a season-long loan from Lazio in August.

“However, I repeat that my dream is to represent Cameroon, I owe so much to that land.

“I think that I would find myself well playing football in Brazil, I watch it a lot and I like it. It’s very technical and attractive.

“My favourite team there? Sao Paulo.”
