Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza has admitted that his strike during the Neroverdi’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari on Sunday is one of the best of his career.
The Italian scored a spectacular strike in the first half to give the home side the lead, though Marco Sau’s equalizer secured a point for both sides.
“It was one of the best goals I’ve scored even if we did not get the three points,” Zaza told Sky Sport Italia after the match.
The goal was made even more special after the 23-year-old’s recent call up to the Italy side by new coach Antonio Conte, something which Zaza was thrilled by.
“I’m happy for the call. I am very surprised, but I’m delighted.”
