Bologna striker Robert Acquafresca is attracting the interest of both English Premier League side Aston Villa and Serie A’s Palermo as the transfer window winds down.

Acquafresca, 26, has been with Bologna since 2011, scoring a mere five goals in 45 matches. Though he did spent part of that time in Spain with Levante where he notched three goals.

According to Il Resto del Carlino, Acquafresca is on the radar of both Aston Villa and Palermo and could leave the Serie B club by the end of the day. Palermo are expecting Abel Hernandez to complete his €10 million move to Hull City and want Acquafresca to replace the Uruguayan.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s original interest in the player has cooled slightly. Acquafresca is thought to be a cheap addition for either club as reports have stated Bologna’s asking price is in the region of €1m to €2m.

If the Italian moves teams, it will be his eighth team in nine years.
