According to reports, Palermo are leading the race to sign ex-Inter striker Victor Obinna.

The Rosanero are looking to fill a hole in attack after selling Abel Hernandez to Hull City in a €12 million deal and the Sicilian club feel the Nigerian is the perfect fit.

Sky Sport Italia reports that although the club are in negotiations with Bari for Joao Silva they are also tracking Obinna and are leading the race for his signature ahead of Cesena and other clubs.

The 27-year-old currently plies his trade in Russia for Lokomotiv Moscow but was on loan at Chievo Verona last term where he score two goals in 10 appearances, both in the last game of the season against Inter.
