Palermo have missed out on the signing of Bari striker Joao Silva.
The transfer had thought to be almost completed but the deal fell through at the last minute with the Rosanero missing out on their target.
Sportitalia report that a fee of €1 million had been agreed and up until the last moments the deal looked like it had been concluded.
The Portuguese striker is now set to continue with the Serie B outfit and try to add to his 43 appearances for the Galletti.
