AC Milan will look to get their second consecutive win against Parma in Serie A on Sunday evening at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Rossoneri coach Filippo Inzaghi will have the meetings during the 2013/2014 season in mind when the Crociati did the double over Milan.

The corresponding game last season finished 3-2 in favour of the Gialloblu, but this time they’ll have to do it without striker Amauri and double-goal hero Marco Parolo, who both moved to Torino and Lazio respectively.

Both sides first met in 1962, with Milan having the edge in terms of head-to-head meetings in Serie A with nine wins compared to Parma’s eight with both sides drawing on six occasions. However, Il Diavolo last won at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in March 2012.

The home side will be looking to pick up their first three points of the season after enduring a shock defeat at the hands of Cesena at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi on the opening day of the season. Despite Milan’s showing against Lazio, the Ducali are undefeated in 12 of their last 13 home games in Serie A, which should be a breath of optimisim for Donadoni’s men.

Milan on the other hand are flying high; a comprehensive 3-1 home win against Lazio in their opening game of the season should fill them up with confidence heading into the game espeically with the arrival of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres on loan, and Atalanta star Giacomo Bonaventura amongst others.

Both sides face no players missing due to suspension on Sunday, but Milan’s Riccardo Montolivo and Parma man Nicola Pozzi will both miss the tie due to injury.

Inzaghi is expected to maintain the same line-up which played against Lazio for Sunday’s game, with the exception of Torres who could make his first start for the club.

Donadoni on the other hand is expected to play a 4-3-3, with Antonio Cassano returning to the line-up after recovering from a muscle problem which kept him out of the Cesena game.

Expected Starting XIs
