Carlos Tevez

Juventus defeated Udinese 2-0 at the Juventus Stadium on Saturday night.

Carlos Tevez’s goal in the first half put Juve in the lead before Claudio Marchisio’s long-range effort made it 2-0 to seal all three points for the Bianconeri.

The Zebrette were energetic but they failed to test Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, with Massimiliano Allegri’s men proving to be too precise for the Udine faithful.

Did we get our ratings right? Have your say in the comments below.

Gianluigi Buffon- 6- Untested

The Italian international was untested from Andrea Stramaccioni’s men throughout the game, with his side constantly being in the driving seat there wasn’t much to do for Buffon.

Martin Caceres-6.5- Adventurous

The Uruguayan was very solid defensively in addition to helping out with his side’s offensive play on several occasions.

Leonardo Bonucci-6.5- Present

The central defender was pretty much present throughout the game, preventing any danger which came his way.

Angelo Ogbonna-7- Solid

In one of his best performances in the black and white shirt, the former Torino man was both present going forward and solid defensively; keeping his concentration for the full 90 minutes.

Stephan Lichtsteiner-7.5-Influential

An excellent match from the Swiss international who assisted Tevez’s opening the goal; the right-hand side was ever-present throughout the game, playing a key part in La Vecchia Singora’s victory.

Claudio Marchisio-7-Integral

The midfielder was integral to his side’s victory on Saturday, scoring a long-range goal and playing a sizeable role in midfield.

Paul Pogba-7.5-Energetic

Juve’s free flowing football against Udinese was the perfect way for the Frenchman to show his abilities. His passing was precise and allowed the game to flow.

Roberto Pereyra-7.5- Promising

Playing against his former club, it was never going to be easy for the Argentine who was an ever-present figure in midfield. Pereyra got himself in dangerous positions on several occasions, combining well with his teammates.

Patrice Evra-7-Impressive

In only his maiden appearance for Juve, the Frenchman rolled back the years with a great performance down the left-hand side which was full of energy and precision.

Fernando Llorente-6.5-Marked

Combined well with Pereyra and Lichsteiner on several occasions, the Spaniard remained an important part in the victory but  found himself under strict marking on several occasions.

Carlos Tevez-8-Too good

With a goal and an assist to his name, Tevez proved to be the ultimate pain to the Udinese defence. His mazy run from behind in the first goal left the defence in tatters, and the lay-off to Marchisio for the second was something sheer class.

Substitues

Kinglsey Coman-No rating

Coming on in the final ten minutes, the Paris Saint-Germain youth graduate showed glimpses of what he can do but the game was already finished.

Simone Padoin-No rating

The former Atalanta man could’ve had an assist to his name in the final minute, but came on with five minutes remaining.

Alvaro Morata-No rating

Coming on in the final two minutes, the Spaniard wasted a chance to make it 3-0.

Udinese

Orestis Karnezis-6-Good

Simone Scuffett’s understudy denied Juventus on several occasions and could’ve done nothing to prevent both goals from going in.

Thomas Heartaux-5.5-Involved

The Frenchman tried to contribute to his side’s attacking ventures, as well as standing his guard for most of the game.

Danilo-6-Solid

Unlike his defensive partners the Brazilian was solid throughout the game, committing few errors.

Igor Bubnjic-5-Shaky

Although extremely unlucky to have his goal ruled out for offside, the Serbian looked extremely shaky on many occasions; obviously lacking chemistry with his defensive partners.

Silvan Widmer-6-Enthusiastic

The Swiss put himself in very promising positions, but his work rate decreased significantly in the second half.

Allan-6-Gritty

Went in for the ball, and gave his all in midfield especially during the second half.

Guilherme-6-Fatigued

The Brazilian was integral in his side’s offensive display in the first half with his precise passing, but fatigue got to him in the second half.

Panagiotis Kone-6.5-Dynamo

The Greek was all around the pitch, he was simply the metronome of the side on Saturday often working hard to get the ball and re-distribute it.

Giovanni Pasquale-6-Encouraging

He worked hard throughout the game, and made great runs down the left-hand side.

Luis Muriel-6-Pacy

The Colombian showed glimpses of his ability before being subbed off in the beginning of the second half.

Antonio Di Natale-6-Needed

It wasn’t his best performance, but the Udinese captain had a high workrate and more often than not dropped deep to help out his teammates.

Substitutes

Manuel Fernandes-5.5-Uninspiring

The Portuguese youngster was brought on for Muriel to add spark to the Zebrette’s attack, but he failed to deliver.

Giampiero Pinzi-No rating

The 33-year-old was brought on in place of Guilherme in the second half but the game had already been won.

Cyril Thereau-No rating
