PrimaveraWith Matchday 2 of the Primavera in the books, Fiorentina stayed at the top of Group A with a 3-1 victory over Parma.

The Viola got a pair of goals from Diomande Yann Gando sandwiched around Gonzalo Martinez’s strike for the Gialloblu before Alberto De Poli’s goal clinched three points for the hosts.

Juventus remain even on points with the Gigliati after a 3-2 victory over Spezia. Younes Bnou Marzouk scored in injury time to give the Bianconeri the victory.

Other winners in Group A were Bologna with a 5-0 thrashing of Trapani. Varese and Virtus Entella were winners over Carpi and Genoa respectively. Sampdoria and Modena drew 3-3 and last year’s runners up Torino needed a Simone Edera brace to earn a 2-2 draw with Pro Vercelli.

In Group B Inter are alone in first place following a 3-1 victory over Atalanta. Romanian U-21 International George Puscas broke a 1-1 deadlock with two quick goals for the Nerazzurri.

Last year’s winners Chievo got off the mark with a 5-0 drubbing of Virtus Lanciano. The Flying Donkeys raced to a three goal lead at halftime behind Fabio De Paoli, Arthur Kevin Yamga and Filippo Damian. Damian got on the scoresheet again and Filippo Carraro completed the rout in the second half.

AC Milan were the other winners in the group as they opened their Primavera account with a 4-0 win over Cittadella. Udinese earned a 2-2 draw with Pescara following a late Marko Matic goal, and Hellas Verona got a point against local rivals Brescia when striker Selim Mohamed Fares scored late in injury time to see the match finish 1-1. The other group match between Cesena and Cagliari ended in a 0-0 draw.

In Group C Roma, Bari and Catania have all collected six points from two matches. The Giallorossi defeated Palermo 4-0 with two goals from Daniele Verde.

Bari raced out to a three goal lead before seeing Livorno get two goals themselves to cause the Galleti some concern before it finished 3-2. Meanwhile Catania struck in the 24th minute through Mattia Rossetti which proved enough to see off Latina 1-0.

The other Group C matches saw Empoli defeat Crotone 1-0 and Vicenza beat Avellino by the same scoreline. Frosinone defeated Ternana 2-1 and Napoli’s two first half goals from Alfredo Bifulco and Luca Palmiero were enough to defeat Lazio 2-1 despite a late goal from Simone Palombi.
