Roma Sporting Director Walter Sabatini is working hard to strengthen Rudi Garcia’s hands with Newcastle defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, following the temporary exit of young defender Alessio Romagnoli.
The 25-year-old French defender is currently out of favor at St James Park having joined Newcastle from Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier in January 2013 for €8 million.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Yanga-Mbiwa’s services are attainable at a below-the-market price, reportedly an initial loan deal with an option to purchase for a value of € 5 million.
It is also worth mentioning that Yanga-Mbiwa has featured 46 times in the English Premier League for the Magpies, having made 17 starts in 2013/2014.
