Roma forward Gervinho has praised his side after their 2-0 win over Hellas Verona on Saturday, and is now looking ahead to the upcoming games against Manchester City and Juventus this week.

The Giallorossi secured their fifth straight victory at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to an Alessandro Florenzi goal and a stupendous 40-yard half-volley from striker Mattia Destro.

Speaking to vocegiallorossa.it, the 27-year-old Gervinho claimed Rudi Garcia’s side are full of confidence ahead of a big week for the club that includes the Champions League group match against Manchester City and a mouth-watering top of the table clash against Juventus in Turin.

“Roma are a great team with lots of resources,” said the Ivory Coast international. “Everyone is important; we have made many changes and they all gave their best.”

“Now we head into the next game with [Manchester] City and then decide what to do against Juventus. We are focused on playing two great games.”
