Injured shot-stopper Simone Scuffet says he hopes to return for Udinese in the not too distant future.
The 18 year old injured his ankle while on duty for the Italy Under 19’s a few weeks ago, and is keen to get back in goal for the Zebrette as soon as possible.
“I‘m recovering from this ankle injury and in the coming days I could start out again on the field,” Scuffet told TuttoUdinese.it.
“Recovery times are not definitive yet, but I hope to return soon.”
Scuffet could face a battle to gain the number one jersey, with the incumbent Orestis Karnezis in superb form for the Fruili so far this season.
Scuffet has made 16 appearances for Udinese since debuting for against Bologna last February.
