Perugia saw their 100% record in Serie B brought to an end after drawing 2-2 with Vicenza on Saturday.

Things started off brightly for Perugia as they were awarded a penalty in the eighth minute which was duly stroked home by former Roma man Rodrigo Taddei.

Then in the space of seven minutes Antonino Ragusa bagged a brace to turn the game on its head and give the Biancorossi a 2-1 lead going into half-time.

Perugia grabbed an equaliser through Lorenzo Del Prete in the 76th minute in what was the defender’s second goal of the season after signing from Crotone.

The Grifoni couldn’t push on and snatch a winner and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Elsewhere there was a surprising win for Frosinone who smashed Virtus Lanciano 5-1 away from home. A first half goal from Gaetano Musacci and a double for Davis Curiale sent the away side into half time with a 3-0 lead.

The Frentani then pulled one back through Alberto Cerri, but the Gialloazzuri caused further damage by grabbing another two goals from Daniele Ciofani to earn a resounding win.

Bologna continued their disappointing start to their Serie B season losing 2-0 at home to Crotone. Steve Beleck put the Pitagorici in front before Nnamdi Oduamadi sealed Crotone’s first win of the season.

Cittadella moved up to fifth place following a 3-2 victory over Pescara. Federico Gerardi put Citta in front in the sixth minute but goals from Matteo Politano and Federico Melchiorri turned the game around. The home side then formed their own comeback thanks to a double strike from Claudio Coralli to down the Delfini.

Newly promoted Pro Vercelli recorded an impressive 4-0 win over Varese to put them just below the play-off positions. Ettore Marchi got two, Nunzio Di Roberto scored from the spot and there was a late strike from Umberto Germano.

Bari defeated Livorno 2-0 at the Stadio San Nicola thanks to a goal from Daniele Sciaudone and an injury time effort from Alen Stevanovic.

Avellino nicked an impressive 2-1 away win at last season’s surprise package Latina. Ferdinando Sforzino put Latina in front with an early goal but Luigi Castaldo equalised before half-time. Then midway through the second half on-loan AC Milan defender Jherson Vergara grabbed the winner.

Despite the high amount of goals, there were also two goalless draws as Catania carried on their poor start against Modena with a 0-0 stalemate. Also, Brescia could not find a goal against ten-men Ternana to give each side a point.
