Galatasaray and ex-Inter star Wesley Sneijder says he is relieved not to be facing Liverpool and Mario Balotelli in the Champions League group stage.
The Dutch playmaker was teammates with Balotelli during their time at Inter, in which they won many trophies together, and Sneijder is aware of the talent Balotelli possesses.
”For us it is better that he does not play so he can’t score against us,” Sneijder said to Turkish Football.
“Nevertheless, I regret this. I have not seen him in a while. He’s a nice guy, but a little crazy. He was already like that when we played together at Inter.”
Sneijder now plays at Turkish side Galatasaray, in which he counts former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli as his new boss.
