As Torino look to replace the goals of the departed Ciro Immobile and Alessio Cerci the Granata have turned to veteran former Italy international Amauri of Parma.

Ironically the Brazilian-born striker’s brace in the final game of last season against Livorno had seemingly snatched European football from the Turin club only for them to be entered in the Gialloblu’s place due to financial irregularities.

The 34-year-old will now take his place in the competition with Gianpiero Ventura’s side as Sky Sport Italia report that a two-year contract has been agreed with the club.

Last season those goals against Livorno were the only Serie A strikes for the ex-Juventus man as he made just two league appearances for Roberto Donadoni’s team.
