Two Hellas Verona fans were arrested by local police on Sunday night for causing trouble outside the Stadio Olimpico before their match against Torino.

One of the culprits, a 22-year-old resident of Verona, was accused of hitting a policeman several times with an umbrella while the other, a 31-year-old, was found in possession of a large firecracker.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the officer suffered injuries that are expected to heal within seven days whilst the two meddlers are set to face action for the unnecessary tumult.

Following their 1-0 victory on Sunday, Verona have now climbed up to third spot in the table with only three games played thus far this season.
