Udinese host Parma at the Stadio Friuli on Monday in Serie A action.

The corresponding fixtures last season saw each side claim the three points on home ground, with the Zebrette defeating Parma 3-1 at the Stadio Friuli and then losing out to Roberto Donadoni’s men 1-0 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The previous 10 meetings between both sides are also fairly equal; Parma have defeated their opponents on four occasions, whilst Udinese have claimed the points on three occasions, which also happen to be the same amount of times both sides shared the spoils.

Despite both sides’ relatively head-to-head record in the past 10 games, their form this season happen to be two sides of the spectrum. Udinese under Andrea Stramaccioni find themselves in third with three wins and one defeat which came against Juventus at the Juventus Stadium.

Parma on the other hand are the exact opposite of Udinese’s recent form. The Ducali have won only one game against Chievo, whilst succumbing to defeats on three occasions against Cesena, AC Milan, and Parma. Now they aim to overturn their dismal form by claiming all three points agains the Udine-based side.

However, things are not going to be easy for Roberto Donadoni and his men who travel to Udine without both Jonathan Biabiany and Gabriel Paletta due to injury. Mattia Cassani will also miss the game alongside Soufiane Bidaoui and Marijan Coric.

Udinese on the other hand have their fair share of injuries as well. Luis Muriel was added to the list of injuries on Thursday after being taken off early in his side’s 1-0 win over Lazio, joining Simone Scuffet, Gabriel Silva, Albert Riera, Maurizio Domizzi, and Giampiero Pinzi in the Zebrette’s injury list.

Probable Starting XIs:

Udinese (4-3-2-1): Karnezis; Widmer, Heurtaux, Danilo, Pasquale; Badu, Guilherme, Allan, Kone; Thereau, Di Natale.

Parma (4-3-3): Mirante; Mendes, Felipe, Lucarelli, De Ceglie; Acquah, Jorquera, Mauri; Ghezzal, Belfodil, Cassano.
