Former AC Milan defender Alessandro Costacurta apparently joked when he revealed that coach Filippo Inzaghi is much better at playing football than coaching.
The 48-year-old won seven Serie A titles and five Champions League trophies with the Rossoneri, making over 450 appearances. Additionally, he was indispensable during Milan’s success under Arrigo Sacchi and Fabio Capello.
“I feel he is even better as a player,” Costacurta said, according to Sky Sport 24.
“But he seems to have started well as a coach.”
Costacurta then expressed his grief and sorrow over the death of Milan TV presenter Claudio Lippi who died last year in a motorcycle accident.
“Everyone at the club knows him to be a very selfless person. He was an example for us players, a beautiful person and we will always do something to remember his name,” he concluded.
