juraj kuckaAC Milan are keeping tabs on midfielders Juraj Kucka and Luca Cigarini of Genoa and Atalanta respectively as they look to strengthen their midfield.

The two midfielders are being marked as back ups should Milan fail to sign their prime target, Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira.

Tuttosport reports that coach Filippo Inzaghi has identified the midfield as an area of improvement for the Rossoneri and sees both Kucka and Cigarini as potential recruits.

Whilst the Milanese side prefer Khedira, competition from Chelsea and Arsenal means that the side may be forced to look at other options.

All three of Milan’s target’s have contracts that expire in 2015, meaning that all would be available for a cut-price deal.

Cigarini has long been a target of the Rossoneri, with the 28 year old having been a star in the midfield for Atalanta for the past four seasons.

Kucka has also been a target for Milan for a long period of time ever since the midfielder first came to Italy in 2011.

Both midfielders have appeared in every single game for their respective club teams this season with Kucka also representing his native Slovakia.
