Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that he is satisfied with his team’s Champions League performance against Atletico Madrid, despite losing to a second half goal from Arda Turan.

The Bianconeri controlled the match for long periods and dominated possession but were unable to break down the Spanish champions and they created very few chances to score.

“The match was very tight and we found it difficult to make a break through,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was essential to make the most of our opportunities as they defend well and do not commit recklessly. Our boys were good however, and we are satisfied with the performance.

“Atletico defended with 10 men and it was difficult to create chances,” the 47 year old continued.

“Even in the first half against Malmo we had difficulties, so it was especially tough against Atletico who are much stronger.

“Im not satisfied with the result, but I’m happy with the personality shown by the team.”

The result coupled with Olimpiacos’s 2-0 defeat to Malmo means every team in Group A is equal on three points.
