Massimiliano Allegri Juventus coach Massimilano Allegri has been reflecting on his side’s 1-0 Champions League defeat in Athens this evening to Olympiacos.

A goal from former Palermo man Pajtim Kasami condemned the Turin side to a second defeat in three games to leave them third in Group A.

”We did well in the second half, but we could not finish our chances and that’s why we were have not come away with a positive result.” Allegri told Sport Mediaset .

In the first half we were bad technically and did not manage the game well which allowed the to score and then they were happy for us to have possession and play on the counter attack.

The Juve coach was also quick to defend his talisman Andrea Pirlo after a poor display.

”Pirlo has had an injury and has missed a lot of the season so far, so he needs to find his rhythm again and I am confident that he will return to the player that he has been.”

Allegri also decided to go with new signing Alvaro Morata to partner Carlos Tevez up front, with the Spaniard one of the few positives for the Bianconeri.

”He has done well for us so far this season and the idea was to get the two of them to press from the front, but when you leave holes in midfield the strategy is not so easy to put into place.”
