Torino striker Amauri says he was delighted to score his first goal for Torino in his sides 2-0 victory over HJK Helsinki in the Europa League on Thursday night.

A first half strike from Cristian Molinaro was followed up by a goal from Amauri midway through the second half as the Granata go to the top of group B on seven points from three games.

“I felt I could score tonight and I’m happy it finally arrived,” the Brazilian born striker told reporters after the game.

“For a striker it is very important to score.

“We are growing and improving game by game and we want to continue like this.”
