Arsenal and England star Jack Wilshere says that he is adapting to his new role by watching videos of Andrea Pirlo and basing his game on the regista.
The 22 year old has been in fine form for the Gunners this term, and has been trialed by national team boss Roy Hodgson as more of a defensive midfielder as of late.
“I’m learning so much watching the videos of Xabi Alonso and Pirlo,” Wilshere told reporters at a recent press conference.
“I don’t play in that role for my club, so it is important for me to learn from other players who play there.”
Pirlo recently returned to the field for Juventus during their 3-2 victory over Roma after missing the first month of the season due to injury.
