After their 7-1 demolition of Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, Bayern Munich visited Pope Francis on Wednesday morning

The German giants donated one million Euros to the church, with Bavarian CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge saying, “Papa Francesco shall decide how to allocate this money to help people in need.”

Among the donations, Bayern also gifted the pope a signed club jersey and a ball.

Fullback David Alaba took to Twitter to voice his happiness at the clubs private visit to the Vatican city.

“Overwhelmed by one of the greatest experiences of my life,” he tweeted.
