Rafa-Benitez-turista-a-NapoliNapoli head coach Rafa Benitez has revealed that he is happy with the Partenopei’s second half performance against Inter at the San Siro on Sunday evening.

The Nerazzurri totally dominated the first half of their dramatic 2-2 draw with Napoli but the Neapolitans twice took the lead against the run of play in the second half and Benitez looked at the positives.

“I have to be very happy for the second half [performance],” Benitez told Sky Sport Italia in his post match interview.

“Against a strong team in a difficult stadium, it is a very positive thing to take the lead twice.

“We did not keep their stars quiet in the first half, however in the second you could see there were more opportunities as Inter became more unbalanced.

“It is not easy to stop [Mateo] Kovacic, Hernanes and [Rodrigo] Palacio from moving so much.”

Benitez then addressed his troublesome midfield of this season.

“We have had many problems with various injuries, Inter pressured us and it was not easy,” the tactician said.

“[Marek] Hamsik? He has the freedom to roam and he tried. It is not easy to find space against opposition with three central defenders.”
