AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has reiterated his commitment to the Rossoneri and has insisted that he has no intention of selling the club.

Milan have struggled in recent seasons as the 78 year old has stopped the lavish funding that he had previously provided to the Rossoneri, however he insists that he will not sell the club but may take into consideration other models of club ownership.

“I do not think I would be able to entrust our Milan to a foreign owner, or perhaps even to an Italian one,” the former prime minister told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“My father said that I have the Milan crest tattooed on my heart, and I have no intention of doing a transplant.

“It would make more sense to consider the example of Real Madrid and Barcelona, a kind of popular shareholding but that’s not a pressing concern at the moment. Barbara [Berlusconi] in the future could become president.”

Berlusconi then turned his attention to Mario Balotelli who left the club to join Liverpool in the summer.

“He arrived at Milan against my will. There are now no more bad apples in the dressing room.”
