Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi believes the Viola were fully deserving of their win against Dinamo Minsk.
The 20-year-old played alongside Josip Ilicic in attack in their 3-0 win against the Belorussian side on Thursday night in the UEFA Europa League.
Despite scoring Fiorentina’s final goal, Bernardeschi drew attention away from his goal and preferred to praise his teammates for their performance as a unit.
“We deserved the victory, we were good,” he told Radio Blu. “It was not easy to impose our play on a ground like this.
“I started as a centre-forward with Ilicic and it went well.”
Fiorentina play Inter in Serie A next but Bernardeschi played down his chances of starting for Vincenzo Montella’s team on Sunday night.
“I am always at disposal but the choices are up to the coach. We had a great collective performance [and] we hope to continue like this,” he concluded.
