Giacomo Bonaventura’s agent Giocomo Martorelli has said that the player must remain calm after sustaining an injury.

The AC Milan midfielder’s injury has ruled him out of the Italian national team’s Euro 2016 qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Malta, and his agent has insisted that the player must not panic.

“I heard that he was returning to Milan in order to receive treatment,” he told Milan Channel. “The boy must remain calm.

“He knows that if he does well at Milan then he’ll earn another call-up.”

Martorelli then went on to say that the ex-Atalanta man sustained the injury towards the end of training, as well as insisting that the injury is far from serious.

“He sustained the injury in the final second of training,” he said. “However, it’s only a mild edema.

“The first medical examination showed there was a muscle distraction, however it is up to Milan’s medical staff to determine the method of treatment.”

Finally, Martorelli said that his client may return in time for the Rossoneri’s game against Hellas Verona on the 19th of October.

“I think he may return in time for the Hellas Verona game,” he assured.
